Why
Most people do not realise that they have legal obligations to notify government entities such as the Australian Tax Office, the Australian Electoral Commission and motor vehicle and licensing authorities. Failure to update details can incur fines or even loss of licenses.
Kevin conceived SMART MOVE for the benefit of people who change their details. He wanted it to be a free, one-stop-shop. What evolved from that vision is a cost-effective communication link to all service providers that is convenient, easy and economical for everyone. A win/win solution.
The 2021 Census reports that 5.85 million people in Australia move house/change contact details annually.
The challenges people face to update their details with all their different service providers is a significant one. This same problem also affects the service providers, who are significantly impacted by customer attrition and loss of revenues when they lose contact with their customers.

Phill’s history spans roles as CEO, Business Unit Director, and Head of Sales, that has seen him responsible for pre and post sales, and major project delivery, across 3 companies, over 40 years.
His experience is centred around Business Process Outsourcing, successfully delivering market leading projects never seen before. His prowess lies in recognising significant opportunities for business process improvement and re-engineering. This ability enabled him to deliver solutions that created competitive advantage for his clients.
As a result of he and his team’s efforts, his clients annual sales rose from approx. $12m to over $300m in just 10 years.
Phill’s strategic leadership led to multiple sales of major projects that achieved:
- Margins, audited at over 60%
- SLA’s and Penalties that met and exceeded targets again independently
- audited at greater than 99.9% audited data capture at an accuracy of Six Sigma

Kevin Lee refuses to let any challenge daunt him. For 22 years he worked in retail management for Australia’s largest loyalty programs, followed by over twenty years of management in consumer banking, business lending and financial services.
Kevin has run a successful franchise operation and a licensed boutique property agency. He has repeatedly taken fledgling operations from seed capital to industry leadership based on a simple mantra: deliver outstanding service, an outstanding customer experience and create outstanding results.
